A Little About Me...

Hi, I'm Chyrle McKenzie, the CEO (Chief Embroidery Operator) of Mrs. McKenzie's Monograms. My first name is prounounced "Cheryl," but it's spelled funny because my Dad wrote it incorrectly on my birth certificate so my parents just went with it.

I've been influenced by fabric and design my whole life. My mother worked with a courturier when she was young and taught me how to sew when I was so little I had to sit on her lap to reach the sewing machine.

I used to own an ice cream shop and, although it was great fun to "design" sundaes and desserts, my favorite part of the business was creating some of the items for our gift shop.  So, after some years, I sold my little ice cream shop and started selling monogrammed and personalized clothing, accessories and gifts at arts and crafts fairs and to local shops.

I opened my e-boutique in 2009 and, since then, we've been striving to add unique, quality products to the store each week.  Although many of the designs are our own, we also seek out beautiful and charming items produced by other talented artisans.
